Tiny Desk AI Template
A Tiny Desk AI template is a reference performance that supplies the setting, action, camera and soundtrack for a concert edit. Your photo guides the replacement performer. Our original-stage template makes a 15-second, 720p vertical video with one adult lead photo.

Compare this example with the original stage on the homepage. Both use a fictional adult performer. Review the actual movement and sound rather than judging the effect from a still poster.
What the photo changes—and what it does not
| Part of the video | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Lead performer | Your photo guides face, hair and appearance; likeness can vary. |
| Background and performance | The stage supplies the reference. AI may still alter motion, clothing, framing or details. |
| Song and singing voice | The original stage audio is retained. Your photo does not clone or change the voice. |
| Format | 15 seconds, vertical 9:16, 720p MP4. |
| Other band members | No separate photo slots in the current generator. |
AI stage template or editing template?
An editing template typically arranges clips on a timeline. An AI stage template generates new frames guided by your inputs. These are different jobs: an editor can arrange clips without generating a new face, while generation can alter details you expected to preserve.
For example, Kapwing’s Tiny Desk trend template describes arranging four AI-generated clips. Here you supply one portrait and receive one generated concert clip. Choose based on whether you already have clips to assemble or still need a performance made from a photo.
What is an Outstanding Tiny Desk AI template?
In the meme workflow, this usually means a source or editing setup for the recognizable “Outstanding” performance. Check whether a tool supplies a reference video, a timeline project or only a text prompt. Those inputs are not interchangeable.
Does our stage recreate that meme exactly? No. Our stage is an original synthetic performance, not a copy of the NPR concert. The Outstanding trend guide explains the musical reference and the difference between a recast of a specific recording and an original concert scene. Matching a broad setting is not the same as reproducing a song, shot sequence or choreography.
Choose your inputs before spending a credit
First listen to the voice in the stage. Then select one consenting adult portrait with visible eyes and a clear face. If you need your own permitted source performance instead, Advanced mode accepts a 4–5 second clip and makes a five-second edit. It does not extend the original-stage template or add more cast slots.
One original-stage generation uses one credit. The available one-time packs are listed on the pricing page. The generator uses its own prompt; the separate free prompt templates are for compatible external tools.
