How Long Does Tiny Desk AI Take?
Allow around 4–10 minutes for a 15-second Tiny Desk AI video. Busy periods can take longer. The 15 seconds describes the finished clip’s length, not the time needed to generate it.
What have we actually measured?
Two completed 15-second, 720p requests checked on October 29, 2026 took about 3 minutes 48 seconds and 9 minutes 13 seconds from submission to a saved result. These are two observations, not an average, a guaranteed range or a maximum wait.
In the longer request, the provider reported 541 seconds of processing; total delivery took about 553 seconds. Most of that request’s wait was at the provider. Other requests can differ because of queueing, generation, result transfer and saving.
The current model is Seedance 2 Fast through Kie. Kie’s published model page gives an average of about four minutes for Fast. An average is not a completion deadline.
What each waiting state means
- Uploading your files
- Your files are still being sent. Keep the page open until the request is saved.
- Preparing your files / Sending your request
- The service is preparing or submitting the request. Wait for confirmation rather than starting another take.
- Creating your video
- The provider accepted the job. The page checks for a saved result automatically.
- Checking your request
- The final outcome is not confirmed. The credit remains reserved to avoid submitting or charging the same take twice.
- Your video is ready
- The result has been saved and can be played or downloaded.
Does “Check status” actually do anything?
Yes. It refreshes the latest job status saved by our service and shows a check time. It can return quickly because it is a status lookup, not a new generation. It does not push your job ahead in the provider’s queue. The page also checks automatically approximately every 12 seconds while a request is pending; the service checks the provider on its background schedule.
What if it takes more than 10 minutes?
A long wait alone does not prove a failure. Check the displayed status and avoid submitting the same take again. If the wait continues well beyond the estimate, contact support with the request reference from My videos and roughly when you submitted it. Do not send card details, passwords or another copy of your photo in the first message.
Does closing the page cancel the video?
During upload, closing the page can interrupt the request. Once the service has confirmed and saved it, background processing continues independently of the tab. If the tab closes accidentally, sign into the same account and check My videos. Keep the status page open if you want to see the result appear there.
Will a slow or failed job cost extra credits?
A request reserves one credit. Checking status does not spend another credit, and waiting longer does not add a time-based charge. A confirmed failure returns the reserved credit. A pending or unresolved request keeps its reservation until the outcome is known. A separate new generation is a new credit spend.
Why has the voice not changed?
The original-stage workflow preserves the stage’s soundtrack. It does not generate the uploaded person’s voice or offer a voice selector. For the distinction between appearance, lip motion and audio, read the singing-photo guide. The silent MP4 option removes sound from the saved result without regenerating the video.
